How to Use Catalpa Resources
This web-site serves primarily as a on-line warehouse about Practice-Based Inquiry.
In addition, this site energizes the national discussion of the challenges, opportunities and questions that Practice-Based Inquiry raises for American school reform and school research.
Here are the tools you can use to take advantage of what this site provides.
PRACTICE-BASED INQUIRY® ON FACEBOOK
Tom Wilson, (Practice-Based Inquiry® Architect) hosts a Facebook Page on Practice-Based Inquiry®. Take a look.
Tom will post short essays, opinions, comments about PBI with a particular focus on these questions:
- Why does PBI have so much potential to redirect how we think about accountability?
- How does PBI ensure rigor?
- What are the implications of PBI for the national discussion about public schools (e.g. teachers demanding better systems to assess their work.)
Join in. Like what you like. Comment often to share your responses to PBI and to the issues it connects to.
If you don’t want to join Facebook, you can still view the conversation! If you want to keep your comment private, or make an anonymous comment, please e-mail Tom at Taw@catalpa.org and he will post it for you.

idea can be tested, whereas if you have no idea, nothing can
be tested and you don't understand anything."
