Protocol and Pilot Project Design and Implementation
Catalpa has developed visit protocols for twelve clients with varying purposes and contexts. Two major examples are:
State Accountability System. Rhode Island Department of Education. SALT (School Accountability for Learning and Teaching). Catalpa worked on SALT for 12 years. Read more >
Urban Schools: Network for College Success (earlier--Chicago Schools Alliance). Catalpa's work in Chicago covers 8 years. Read more >
In both cases Catalpa helped implement the conduct of visits and helped in the establishment of systems of accountability and professional development, including initial training of agency staff, team chairs and team members; certification and ongoing coaching of visit chairs; team member recruitment systems; visit evaluation and feedback systems; school review of their visit reports.
In all cases, Catalpa worked with the client agency to design an appropriate protocol that was consistent with PBI principles and with the organization's purpose for conducting visits.
